Mercato : Pogba, la Juve a un atout dans sa manche

At the end of the Manchester United contract, which he will leave this summer, Paul Pogba will be spoiled for choice to bounce back. Juventus, his former club, has already offered him a three-year lease, but with a salary offer lower than that of competitors.

Will Pogba return to Turin, six years after his departure?

This time it’s the right one. Since his return to Manchester United in 2016, Paul Pogba has often been announced as leaving, but he has never taken action.

Now at the end of the contract, and after having rejected all the extension offers from his management, it would take an incredible turnaround to see him continue the adventure with the Red Devils. It is therefore no longer a secret for anyone: the midfielder will (finally) leave, 99.9%, but to go where?

Juve offers little financially, but a lot sportingly

A world champion in the prime of life (29 years old) is obviously very courted. Ask any club in the world if they want Pogba in their squad, and they’ll probably say yes. Even more if he has already been able to see the phenomenon at work in the past, like Juventus, where the Habs shone between 2012 and 2016 before returning to the Premier League. With the aim of quickly regaining the heights, the Old Lady has made the player trained in Le Havre a priority.

He was offered a three-year contract, with an annual salary of €8 million (+€2 million in bonuses). Enough to convince him? As explained by the very well informed Gianluca Di Marzio, this is the lowest offer presented to his agents since January 1st. Competitors, and notably Paris Saint-Germain, have all offered more La Pioche. But Juve has an ace up its sleeve: the sports project, which will revolve around the French midfielder.

Competition Madrid, indecision Paris

At Real Madrid, which has been following him for many years, and at Paris Saint-Germain, with its locker room full of egos, it would be impossible to make the same proposal to Pogba. And after his lucrative return to England, the French could therefore be guided by choices more centered on the round ball. But he still hasn’t made a final decision at present, explains our colleague, who collaborates in particular with Sky Sport Italia.

Still according to Di Marzio, the last word will go to the player. And not its representatives, as may have been the case in the past. Good news for Juventus, therefore, because it will be able to convince him thanks to the sporting project, and not financial. Other positives? Madrid, the competition rages in the middle and could frighten many, while it is rumored that the president of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelafi, is not as keen as his sporting director Leonardo to sign Pogba. The Old Lady knows what she has to do.
